Speed Limit Consultation by Hampshire County Council: opened 12 July, closes 12 Sept. & Committee member only advised about it through his contacts last week so please make your comments & share this link! Note: again the consultation is all online.
Concerns expressed by HIRA members include: restricted comment choices available in the answer options skew responses. Please do contribute to the consultation, encourage others to do so too, and then make your views about it known to Hayling's County Cllr. Lance Quantrill to pass on to HCC and write in to the Herald's Sept. edition too.
HIRA sources advise that the 20 mph speed limit may become the default throughout half the country in 2023, and warn that this will delay deliveries and increase business costs by road.
