Climate Change

"We the undersigned, petition Havant Borough Council to amend their Climate Emergency declaration ton one which is target focused and binding. We believe that we are in a climate emergency which threatens our health, environment and all of our futures. Havant Borough Council can and should take action to reduce the risks our community faces.

We want Havant Borough Council to:

Declare an emergency; Pledge to be carbon free by 2030; Produce a climate action plan with binding targets within six months; Provide a progress report each year; Request more powers and money from central government; and Inform and work with residents, community groups and businesses to achieve these aims.

Havant can be greener, healthier and a better place to live and work. There is no time to waste."
